“AND” is Better

A guy I worked with in a previous lifetime (non teaching/coaching) loved to cajole his minions with the adage “Work smarter, not harder!

I have always hated the phrase.

hard workThe implication is, of course, that if you are working hard, you are not smart… that working hard is a negative thing… something to be avoided.

I am all about working smarter, more efficiently… but also working hard.

The two things are not mutually exclusive…. you can work “smart” AND “hard”…
